For dog and cat issues call:

Today I had 3 calls with flying squirrels running around peoples houses and 2 bats flying around. I picked up 2 opossums in cages. he customer wanted to get rid of the skunks and the opossums were denning up with the skunks. Opossums will often times nestle right in with the skunks and they do get sprayed from time to time. We blocked the hole with a board so they could get out but not in. The customer was concerned we were taking animals that were not living under the shed and just passing by. I had told him if the board was pushed out then we would know that there were more living in there. Solving human animal conflicts is not about taking as many animals as you can, it is about solving their problem. If you trap with getting paid as much as you can without any regard for the customer then that isnt fair to the customer. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated.

While everyone is watching ball games and tv, I'm out watching nocturnal animals with my night sights. This is the only way to become the best at what I do. Bats and Flying squirrels are most active at night so that is the best time to observe them. I once watched a group of mother raccoons in a warehouse. when one mother raccoon never came back one night, the babies started to chirp after a few days and one of the other mother raccoons came by and took the babies. She had 3 babies of her own. the orphaned litter had 5 babies in it, she took 3 of the babies and ate the other 2. This may sound brutal but it is nature and the way nature works. Many people think that when they relocate a mother raccoon and her babies that everything will be fine. What they don't realize that if a mother raccoon cannot find food and shelter right away she will eat her babies as a survival measure. this is nature, it isnt they way people want it to be but it is the way it is, whether people want to acknowledge it or not.
